“The Sun and the Three Body Problem”
In my surf photography, I aim to capture not just the activity of surfing but rather the lived experience. I embrace the movement inherent in the sport with longer exposures and motion blur. This series, taken in Morocco, capture bodies, swiftly transitioning from one state to the next. I want to explore the idea that clarity of mind that arises through the body’s movement through space, propelled by the ocean’s energy, undergoing transformation. Each image resists freezing time and follows how light, shadow, and motion constantly unfold, drawing the viewer closer to the weightlessness and intangibility that surfing evokes.
